We are Globe Shanghai; 25 young and young-at-heart people with diverse backgrounds, striving together to create the best as-built documentation, industrial measurement, and dimensional control and CAD services company in China and beyond. We work with the latest hardware and software to capture spatial information from sites such as process and manufacturing plants, ships, buildings and heritage sites and convert them into two- and three- dimensional technical drawings. To do this we use laser scanning, laser tracking, or a combination of the two techniques.
- Laser scanning allows us to collect large amounts of data points, each defined by its XYZ-coordinate. From these point cloud databases we create detailed, complete and accurate digital 3D CAD models and 2D CAD drawings.
- Laser tracking is an even more precise measurement technique where the number of measured points is limited, but where extremely high accuracies - within 0.01mm - are achieved.
